Humble Manufacturing Company Ltd was established in 1950 by Ralph Humble. Formerly a technician with the British Columbia Telephone Company, Mr. Humble had a background in telecommunications, electronics and sheet metal. Originally based in a small wooden building, the company designed & built mobile radio-telephones and similar equipment. The company quickly grew adding employees and equipment. In 1965 the company moved to a much larger premise at the corner of Second & Pine Street in Vancouver. Soon thereafter the company discontinued the electrical and assembly side of the business to concentrate solely on the sheet metal operation. To become more centralized in the Greater Vancouver area, in 1988 Humble moved to its current location at 3331 Ardingley Avenue in Burnaby.
In 1968, Humble purchased a "Whitney 637 Panelmaster" which was the first NC Punch Press of its kind in Vancouver. Since then the company has added state of the art CNC machinery and moved to software based business systems. ERP software allows Humble to respond quickly to our customers' needs, track customer orders and maintain accurate schedules to insure on time delivery of orders. Our engineering team uses state of the art design tools, including Solidworks© reducing response time and engineering costs.
